Abstract

Un almidon plastificado, modificado quimicamente (CMPS) se prepara mediante la reaccion de almidon con un acido dibasico organico o un anhidrido del acido, en presencia de un plastificante utilizando iniciadores de radicales libres opcionales, y opcionalmente con la incorporacion de nanoarcillas en el proceso de extrusion reactivo. El almidon es termoplastico y tiene una viscosidad menor que el almidon termoplastico tradicional. El CMPS es util en la preparacion de composiciones de copolimero de almidon que son al menos parcialmente biodegradables.
