Abstract

Una composicion lubricante que incluye un aceite base y no o más inhibidor(es) es corrosion de ácido alquiletererocarboxílico que tiene la formula (1), en esta formula, R es una cadena recta o ramificada de grupo alquilo C6-18 y n es un numero de 0 a 5. La composicion lubricante puede ser utilizada en un método para reducir la corrosion de un artículo de acero. El método incluye las etapas de proveer el aceite base y proveer el o los inhibidor(es) de corrosion de ácido alquiletercarboxílico. El método también incluye la etapa de combinar el aceite base y el o los inhibidor(es) de corrosion de ácido alquiletercarboxílico para formar la composicion lubricante que incluye menos de alrededor de 0,1 por ciento en peso del o de los inhibidores de corrosion de ácido alquiletercaboxílico. El método incluye, además la etapa de aplicar la composicion lubricante al artículo de aceite, con lo cual el artículo de acero pasa el ensayo de corrosion de acuerdo con la norma ASTM D 655 B.
