Abstract

Una composición lubricante es apropiada para utilizarla en motores diesel y es resistente a la degradación por subproductos oxidativos de combustible biodiesel. La composición contiene (A) un aceite base, (B) al menos un antioxidante difenilamina y (C) al menos un antioxidante. El antioxidante (C) se selecciona del grupo que consiste en: un antioxidante fenólico que contenga azufre, un antioxidante fenil-alfanaftilamina, y combinaciones de estos. La composición lubricante se forma empleando un método. En el método, el aceite base (A) tiene un índice de oxidación inicial medido de acuerdo con la norma ASTM D 6186. Además, en el método la composición lubricante tiene un índice de oxidación final, medido de acuerdo con la norma ASTM D 6186, igual o mayor que el índice de oxidación inicial del aceite base (A) cuando se mide la composición lubricante con un contenido de hasta aproximadamente 6% en peso del combustible biodiesel.
