Abstract
La solicitud divulga un bioreactor air-lift, con recirculacion interna, para producir soluciones biolixiviantes de minerales sulfurados, con un sistema de separacion de fases y recirculacion de solidos sin necesidad de impulsar la suspension que contiene los solidos al bioreactor mediante bombas, con empleo de tierra de diatomeas y/o precipitados férricos como soporte solido para inmovilizar microorganismos oxidantes de hierro y/o azufre. Específicamente, la solicitud describe un bioreactor de produccion continua de soluciones biolixiviantes que contienen microorganismos para la inoculacion y el riego de pilas y botaderos de minerales sulfurados procesados mediante biolixiviacion. El bioreactor es agitado en forma neumática, y en general está compuesto de un difusor de aire, una zona de reaccion, una zona de desgasificacion, una zona de separacion de solidos, una entrada de medio de cultivo, y una descarga de solucion biolixiviante. Dependiendo de la fuente de energía suministrada para el crecimiento de los microorganismos, el bioreactor puede producir una solucion concentrada en iones férricos, bacterias oxidantes de hierro y bacterias oxidantes de compuestos de azufre reducido.
