Abstract
Una tapa 40 incluye un cuerpo 42 con una porcion roscada 44 para acoplar la tapa con un envase, por ejemplo una botella. Dentro de la porcion 44 hay un revestimiento 46 que comprende un dispositivo generador de hidrogeno, en donde el revestimiento incluye una capa 48 que incorpora un hidruro disperso en una matriz polimérica y, en los lados opuestos de la capa 48 se encuentran las capas de PET 50, 52. La capa 50 está adaptada para actuar como capa de control para controlar la velocidad del pasaje de vapor de agua desde la bebida en el envase hacia la capa que contiene hidruro 48 y de ese modo controlar la generacion de hidrogeno mediante el dispositivo generador de hidrogeno. Durante el uso, el vapor de agua pasa a través de la capa 50 y se pone en contacto con el hidruro asociado a la capa 48 que tiene como resultado la produccion de hidrogeno molecular, el cual se combina con oxígeno que puede haber ingresado a un envase con el cual está asociada la tapa 40. Por consiguiente, se produce una reaccion entre el hidrogeno y el oxígeno, catalizada por un catalizador asociado al envase para de ese modo depurar el oxígeno.
