Abstract
Se exponen materiales acrílicos, blandos, de alto índice refractario. Estos materiales, especialmente útiles como materiales para lentes intraoculares, contienen un monómero hidrofóbico acrílico de arilo como único monómero principal formador de dispositivo y un aditivo macrómero reductor de pegajosidad. Además de su uso como materiales para lentes intraoculares, los materiales de la presente son también adecuados para usar en otros dispositivos oftálmicos u otorrinolaringológicos, tales como lentes de contacto, queratoprótesis, implantes o anillos córneos; tubos de ventilación otológica e implantes nasales.
