Abstract
Se revelan un método y aparato para la activacion del reestablecimiento del control de enlace de radio (RLC) y/o la eliminacion de la unidad de datos de protocolo (PDU). La entidad de RLC mantiene una variable de estado para el recuento del numero total de transmisiones y/o retransmisiones de una PDU de RLC y sus segmentos de PDU. Si la variable de estado alcanza un umbral, la entidad de RLC puede iniciar el reestablecimiento del RLC y/o la eliminacion de la PDU de RLC y los segmentos de la PDU. La variable de estado puede incrementarse cada vez que se reciba un aviso de recepcion negativa para al menos una parte de la PDU de RLC o cuando se considere la retransmision de la PDU de RLC o parte de ésta. La entidad de RLC puede aumentar una variable de estado proporcionada al tamano de datos retransmitidos. La entidad de RLC puede mantener variables de estado separadas para la PDU de RLC y segmentos de la PDU y contar el numero de transmisiones y/o retransmisiones de la PDU de RLC y sus segmentos.
