Abstract

Métodos y composiciones para identificar plantas de maíz que tienen resistencia conferida recientemente o resistencia mejorada, o que son susceptibles a Fijivirus, particularmente virus del mal de Río Cuarto Virus (MRCV) y/o virus del enanismo rugoso del maíz (MRDV). En los métodos se hace uso de marcadores genéticos moleculares para identificar, seleccionar y/o construir plantas resistentes, o identificar y someter a una seleccion negativa a las plantas susceptibles. Las plantas de maíz que presentan resistencia conferida recientemente o resistencia mejorada a un Fijivirus que se generan con los métodos de la solicitud también son una característica de la solicitud.
