Abstract

Los compuestos formados por la combinacion de un herbicida de ácido carboxílico con hidroxido de N-(alquil o arilalquil(C1-16)) tri(alquil (C1-16))amonio poseen actividad herbicida sobre una base equivalente de ácido por lo menos tan activa como lassales herbicidas de ácido carboxílico utilizadas en el comercio, pero son menos volátiles. Reivindicacion 1: Un compuesto herbicida que comprende el producto de reaccion de un ácido carboxílico herbicida y un hidroxido de (tetraalquil)amonio. Reivindicacion 4: Un compuesto herbicida de la Reivindicacion 1, en donde el hidroxido de (tetraalquil)amonio es un compuesto de la formula (1) en donde R1, R2, y R3 representan de manera independiente alquilo (C1-16) o cualesquiera dos de R1, R2y R3 representan -(CH2)n-, en donde n es un numero entero de 3-5 y R4 representa (alquilo o arilalquilo (C1-16)). Reivindicacion 9: Una composicion herbicida que comprende una cantidad herbicidamente efectiva de un compuesto, de acuerdo con loreivindicado en la Reivindicacion 1, o mezclas del mismo, mezclado con un adyuvante o vehículo aceptable desde el punto de vista agrícola. Reivindicacion 10: Un método para controlar la vegetacion no deseable que comprende aplicar al suelo paraevitar el brote de la vegetacion o poner en contacto la vegetacion o el sitio en el que se encuentra dicha vegetacion con una efectiva desde el punto de vista herbicida de un compuesto de acuerdo con lo reivindicado en la Reivindicacion 1.
