Abstract

Un dispositivo que comprende: un primer electrodo; un segundo electrodo; una región fotoactiva que comprende un material orgánico dispuesto entre y eléctricamente conectado con el primer electrodo y el segundo electrodo; y una pluralidad de nanopartículas encapsuladas dispuestas dentro de la región fotoactiva, en donde las nanopartículas tienen una resonancia plasmónica. Dicho dispositivo en donde las nanopartículas se componen de metal, y en donde la región fotoactiva comprende una primera subcélula que además comprende una primera capa donante; y una primera capa aceptora en contacto físico directo con la primera capa donante. Método para fabricar un dispositivo que comprende: obtener nanopartículas encapsuladas; fabricar un primer electrodo; fabricar una región fotoactiva orgánica, en donde las nanopartículas encapsuladas están dispuestas dentro de la región fotoactiva; y fabricar un segundo electrodo.
