Abstract
El sistema de freno incluye una palanca de freno independiente, pero capaz de rotar sobre el mismo punto que la palanca acodada. Al recibir una fuerza descendente, un miembro que se extiende desde la palanca golpea una parte de la palanca acodada y genera una fuerza que logra que rote la palanca acodado. La accion rotacional de la palanca acodada transfiere energía rotacional a una barra estabilizadora a través de un sistema de varillaje. La rotacion de la barra estabilizadora aumenta o disminuye la tension sobre las cintas de freno que aminoran un tambor de entubado. Un cilindro puede activar y lograr que la barra estabilizadora rote, aplicando tension a las cintas de freno y aminorando el tambor. La energía rotacional se transfiere nuevamente a la palanca acodada a través del varillaje. La energía rotacional es absorbida por un resorte posicionado entre la palanca acodada y la palanca de freno, por lo que reduce la cantidad de fuerza repentina que pasa a través de la palanca de freno a un operador.
