Abstract
La presente se refiere a una red y a un método para el funcionamiento de una red. La red comprende una multiplicidad de estaciones cada una capaz de transmitir y recibir datos de manera que la red puede transmitir datos entre estaciones mediante al menos una estacion intermedia seleccionada. Cada estacion transmite senales de sonda a modo de transmision a otras estaciones para reunir un listado de estaciones vecinas. Las estaciones transmiten datos de posicion y/o datos de determinacion de posicion en al menos algunas de las senales de sonda. Los datos de posicion incluye datos que indican la posicion absoluta o relativa de una estacion que transmite una senal de sonda, y los datos de determinacion de posicion incluye datos que puede utilizar una estacion que recibe una senal de sonda para determinar la posicion absoluta o relativa de la estacion y/u otras estaciones. Cada estacion mantiene datos de posicion y/o datos de determinacion de posicion recibidos de estaciones de sonda seleccionadas, y emplea los datos para determinar la posicion absoluta o relativa de si misma y/u otras estaciones. Las estaciones pueden determinar la posicion relativa o absoluta de otras estaciones en comunicacion directa con ellas mismas y además de otras estaciones que no se encuentran en comunicacion directa con ellas mismas.
