Abstract
Plantas transgénicas que presentan características de crecimiento modificadas, donde en dichas plantas está modificada la expresión de un ácido nucleico que codifica una proteína MAP. En particular, describe un método para incrementar el rendimiento de una planta, preferentemente de un cereal tal como arroz o maíz. Reivindicación 1: Un método para modificar características de crecimiento en plantas, respecto de las plantas de tipo salvaje correspondientes, caracterizado porque comprende modificar la expresión de un ácido nucleico que codifica una metionina aminopeptidasa (proteína MAP) en una planta y/o modificar el nivel y/o la actividad de una proteína MAP en una planta.
