Abstract
Se describe un método para operar un reactor de flujo descendente de múltiples fases de modo de inducir un régimen de flujo en pulsaciones. La pulsación puede ser inducida aumentado el índice de gas manteniendo al mismo tiempo el índice de líquido hasta lograrse una caída en la presión suficiente para inducir el flujo pulsativo. El método es particularmente útil en la alquilación catalizada con ácido sulfúrico de olefinas en un reactor empacado con una malla de acero inoxidable / polipropileno.
