Abstract

Un motor de inyección de aire-combustible, que incluye un inyector compuesto de una válvula de inyección de combustible para inyectar en combustible y una válvula de inyección de aire-combustible para inyectar directamente combustible junto con aire comprimido en una cámara de combustión y un alojamiento de inyector para mantener y fijar el inyector al cuerpo del motor. El inyector se apoya en una tapa de la culata, y directamente en la tapa de la culata hay al menos parte de un conducto de alimentación de aire comprimido para suministrar aire comprimido al inyector. Además, el alojamiento de inyector forma parte integrante de una tapa de la culata que, a su vez, forma parte del cuerpo del motor. Con esta configuración, se puede reducir al mínimo el tamano del motor, la complejidad de la estructura alrededor de dicho motor y el número de piezas requerido.
