Abstract

Un método para inhibir el crecimiento de Cladosporium en una solución oftálmica acuosa que comprende un derivado de celulosa y una fuente de peróxido de hidrógeno, el cual comprende: proporcionar una solución acuosa que comprende un derivado de celulosa y una fuente de peróxido de hidrógeno, en donde la solución soportará el crecimiento de Cladosporium si se contamina con Cladosporium; y mezclar una cantidad efectiva de una sal de metal alcalinotérreo con esta solución para dar una solución que contenga metal alcalinotérreo que, si se contamina con Cladosporium, permitirá menos crecimiento de Cladosporium que una solución de otra manera idéntica que no comprenda una sal de metal alcalinotérreo.
