Composiciones farmacéuticas que contienen alquilfosfocolinas, en particualr la hexadecilfosfocolina o, en su caso, fosfato de octadecil-(1,1-dimetil-piperidinio-4-ilo) para el tratamiento preventivo de enfermedades causadas por protozoarios, en particular la leishmaniasis. Esquema de dosificación de las mencionadas composiciones para el tratamiento preventivo de las mencionadas enfermedades.
