Abstract
Un método y aparato para proveer un modo inactivo eficiente para dispositivos de comunicación (102, 104, 106), pulsar para hablar, en una red de comunicación de grupo (100) están provistos para determinar si el dispositivo de comunicación ha estado inactivo durante un primer período de tiempo predeterminado, y, de ser así, ocasionando que el dispositivo de comunicación entre en un modo de detención del control, en donde el dispositivo de comunicación mantiene su canal de tráfico dedicado. El método incluye además, los pasos de determinar si el dispositivo de comunicación ha estado en el modo de detención del control durante un segundo período de tiempo predeterminado, y, de ser así, ocasionando que el dispositivo de comunicación entre en un modo inactivo, en donde el dispositivo de comunicación libera su canal de tráfico dedicado. El método y aparatos proveen además, para ocasionar que el dispositivo de comunicación oculte su estado de configuración de servicio antes de entrar en el modo inactivo.
