Abstract

Un método y aparato para registrar un usuario en una red de comunicación de grupo provee determinar una dirección para un servidor de localización, solicitar al servidor de localización registrar al usuario, y recibir una notificación del servidor de localización que el usuario se encuentra registrado. El método adicionalmente provee solicitar al servidor de localización autenticar al usuario antes de registrar al usuario, y solicitar al servidor de localización cargar información acerca del usuario. El método y aparato provee asimismo una reducción significativa en la latencia y tiempo de latencia despertar ("wakeup") total real intercambiando senalización de llamada de grupo aún cuando los móviles se encuentran latentes y ningún canal de tráfico se encuentra activo.
