Abstract
Utilización médica para la gamma-butirobetaína. Composiciones farmacéuticas que contienen gamma-butirobetaína o combinación de esta con 3-(2,2,2-trimetilhidrazinio) propionato o sildenafil para la aplicación oral, parenteral, subcutánea, transdérmica, tópica, sublingual, intrauretral, intranasal o rectal, útiles para la estimulación de la actividad y potencia sexuales en los mamíferos. Las composiciones cuando se aplican en forma oral durante 6 semanas a ratas macho no narcotizadas, aumentan en forma sustancial su actividad sexual, disminuyendo el tiempo de excitación, aumentando el número de copulaciones y los resultados de tentativas de monta. Cuando se aplica por ruta intracavernosa o intravenosa, dichas composiciones farmacéuticas aumentan la presión intracorporal y la duración de la erección, así como devuelve la erección reflectiva inducida por la estimulación en los animales narcotizados.
