Abstract
Se describe un método y dispositivo para grabar volúmenes de información múltiple en un portador de grabación, usualmente llamado, grabación de sesión múltiple. El dispositivo posee medios de control (20) para grabar y recuperar datos de posición indicativos de la posición de los volúmenes de información grabados. Los medios de control incluyen una unidad de mapeo (31) para crear una zona de mapa de sesión. En la zona de mapa de sesión se graban bloques de mapa de sesión (SEM) que contienen la posición de los datos de las sesiones cerradas, esto es, sesiones que han sido grabadas completamente, en ítems de sesión. Además el dispositivo posee una unidad de detección (32) para recuperar el bloque del mapa de sesión de dicha zona de mapa de sesión.
