Abstract
Un procedimiento para la purificación de titania que consiste en tratar la titania con una solución acuosa que comprende uno o más compuestos de amonio a temperaturas elevadas, separa la titania de la solución acuosa, secar la titania y, opcionalmente, calcinar la titania seca. Más especialmente se refiere a la eliminación del azufre (presente principalmente en forma de compuestos de sulfato) de la titania. La titania purificada de conformidad con el procedimiento indicado precedentemente es especialmente adecuada para uso como portador del catalizador.
