Abstract
La presente se refiere a un procedimiento de obtención de gas de síntesis por oxidación catalítica parcial, consistente en poner en contacto un hidrocarburo en estado gaseoso y un gas oxidante, así como eventualmente reducida cantidad de vapor de agua, en presencia de un catalizador que comprende al menos un carburo de silicio a una temperatura superior a los 800°C. Según la presente, el carburo de silicio tiene una superficie específica, determinada por el método BET, inferior o igual a 100 m2/g; el tiempo de contacto entre la mezcla del hidrocarburo gaseoso, del gas oxidante y, eventualmente, del vapor de agua y el carburo de silicio, es superior a 0,01 segundos, y la presión en el interior del reactor es superior a la presión atmosférica.
