Abstract
Una composición farmacéutica para la prevención y/o el tratamiento de infecciones oculares y que se utilizará en aplicación local. Apunta en particular a una composición que se presenta en forma de un colirio distribuible gota a gota en el cual un agente antibiótico de la clase de los macrólidos, como la acitromicina, está en solución en un vehículo oleoso. Este vehículo es particularmente del tipo de los productos esencialmente compuestos de triglicéridos de cadena mediana, en los cuales las funciones alcohol del glicerol son enteramente esterificadas por ácidos carboxílicos de hidrocarburos saturados, cuya molécula contiene de 5 a 12 átomos de carbono. Se trata preferentemente de ácidos grasos de cadena lineal que contienen de 8 a 10 átomos de carbono, como el ácido caprílico y el ácido cáprico. La composición está ventajosamente preparada por una puesta en solución del agente activo en el vehículo oleoso efectuada a una temperatura no superior a los 70°C.
