Abstract
Se describe un artículo absorbente envuelto individualmente, tal como un dispositivo catamenial. El artículo absorbente tiene una periferia exterior conlos extremos primero y segundo y los lados longitudinales primero y segundo. El artículo absorbente además tiene las superficies principales primera y segunda,y la segunda superficie principal tiene un adhesivo de sujecion de prenda unido a la misma. El artículo absorbente está encerrado por una envoltura que tienelos extremos primero y segundo,los lados longitudinales primero y segundo, y las superficies principales primera y segunda. La primera superficie principal dela envoltura se fija en forma desprendible al adhesivo de sujecion de prenda, de manera que los extremos primero y segundode la envoltura y los ladoslongitudinales primero y segundo de la envoltura se extienden más allá de la periferia exterior del artículo absorbente. Un dispositivo de sujecion, tal comouna línea de adhesivo o uno o más puntos de adhesivo, está asegurado a la segunda superficie principal de la envoltura y está localizado más cerca del primerextremo que del segundo extremo. La envoltura y el artículo se doblan juntos como una unidad alrededor de dos ejes de doblez de manera que la primerasuperficieprincipal de la envoltura hace contacto con el dispositivo de sujecion y se asegura en forma desprendible al mismo para formar un paquete. Elpaquete tiene los bordes laterales primero y segundo alineados adyacentes a los lados primero y segundo delartículo absorbente, respectivamente. Los sellosprimero y segundo, respectivamente, están formados aproximadamente en los bordes laterales primero y segundo del paquete. Los sellos primero y segundoaseguran los bordes laterales del paquete. Localizados adyacentes a los sellos primero y segundo, y hacia adentro de los mismos, están las líneas deperforaciones primera y segunda respectivamente. Las líneas de perforaciones primera y segunda proporcionan una característica de apertura fácil al paquete.
