Abstract

Se presenta una composicion acuosa para el revestimiento del cuero y un método para revestir cueros con la composicion acuosa de revestimiento. Lacomposicion acuosa de revestimiento contiene un polímero en emulsion acuosa que incluye de 0,4% a 10%en peso de un monomero de acetoacetato o acetoacetamidacopolimerizado sobre la base del peso del polímero y que tiene una temperatura de transicion vítrea (Tg) de -20sC a 10sC. En una realizacion alternativa, lacomposicion acuosa de revestimientoconti ene un polímero de emulsion acuosa que incluye de 0,1% a 6% en peso de un monomero de acetoacetato o acetoacetamidacopolimerizado sobre la base del peso del polímero y de un 2% a 15% en peso de monomero de ácido carboxílico copolimerizadosobre la ba se del peso del polímeroque tiene una temperatura de transicion vítrea (Tg) de -40sC a 0sC, en la que el polímero ha sido puesto en contacto con un oxido, hidroxido o carbonato demetal de transicion a un pH inferior a 9 en una cantidadsuperior a 0,2 0 equivalente del metal de transicion por cada equivalente de monomero de ácidocarboxílico.
