Abstract
Compuestos de la formula (1) donde R1 y R2 son, independientemente uno de otro, H, C1-C6 alquilo, C1-6 halogenalquilo, C1-6 alcoxi, C1-6 alcoxi, C1-6 alquilo, o C1-6 alcoxi - C1-6 alquiloxi, y R3 es C1-6 alquilo son obtenibles en altos rendimientos por medio de la adicion estereoselectiva de ésteres de ácido propionico R3-sustituidos a R1 y R2 benzaldehídos sustituidos de la formula R-CHO para formar los ésteres de ácido propionico 3-R-3-hidroxi-2-R3 correspondientes, la conversion del grupo OH en un grupo saliente, la eliminacion regioselectiva subsiguiente para formar ésteres de ácido propénico 3-R-2-R3 y su hidrolisis para formar los ácidos carboxílicos propénicos correspondientes y su hidrogenacion enantioselectiva, donde R es formula (2)
