Abstract

En numerosas realizaciones preferidas, los sistemas y los kits dela presente incluyen además un cofactor enzimático y una enzima con actividad oxidante de analitos, por ejemplo una deshidrogenasa de analitos. Los presentessistemas, composiciones reactivas, tiras de análisis y kits encuentran uso en la deteccion de una amplia variedad de analitos en una muestra, como ser unamuestra fisiologica, por ejemplo sangre o una fraccion de la misma.Signal producing systems, test compositions, test strips and integrated kits are presented, as well as methods for their use in the detection of an analyte in a sample. The present signal producing systems are characterized by having at least a first and second electron transfer agent and a redox indicator, these systems which in many preferred embodiments include a transfer agent of protein and non-protein electrons, for example a compound of phenazine and a diaphorase. In numerous preferred embodiments, the systems and kits herein further include an enzyme cofactor and an enzyme with analyte oxidizing activity, for example an analyte dehydrogenase. The present systems, test compositions, test strips and kits find use in the detection of a wide variety of analytes in a sample, such as a physiological sample, for example blood or a fraction thereof.
