Abstract

Silla del tipo inclinable que incluye una base, un asiento y espaldar, en que la base soporta pivotalmente al asiento con dos uniones paralelas de unaunion de cuatro-barras, en que una de las uniones se extiende para soportar al espaldar. La union de cuatro-barras está duplicada en cada lado de la silla,formando dos uniones paralelas opuestas, o ciguenales, desde los extremos vueltos hacia arriba de los tubos que pasan a través de la base, en forma paralelapero verticalmente descentrados; la bas e forma así la barra fija de la union con su barra opuesta o acoplador, formado por el asiento. Un resorte dentro de labase es operativo en uno (o ambos) tubos para forzar a la silla a una posicion vertical hacia arriba. Los tubos están pivotalmente conectados con el asiento yuno de los tubos se extiende y está fijamente conectado con el espaldar. A medida que se inclina el espaldar, el mecanismo de cuatro-barras se engancha ylevanta al asiento, que usa así el peso del ocupante para contrarresta r la reclinacion. También se describe un apoya-brazos ajustable que puede ser fácilmentelevantado, o bajado y, opcionalmente, hecho rotar en un plano horizontal. Un aspecto adicional de la presente descripcion es un apoya-cabezas que se coloca ensu l ugar cuando la silla se reclina y se retrae cuando la silla retorna a su posicion vertical hacia arriba.
