Abstract

La composicion usa una base de sosa-cal-sílice estándar y materiales colorantes y absorbentes de radiacion solar. Estos incluyen de 0,40 a 1,0%en peso de hierro total, preferiblemente de 0,50 a 0,75% en peso, de 4 a 40 PPM de CoO,preferib lemente de 4 a 20 PPM, y de 0 a 100 PPM de Cr2O3. Larelacion redox para el vidrio de la presente invencion es superior a 0,35 hasta 0,60, y preferiblemente entre 0,36 y 0,50. En otra realizacion de la invencion, el vidrio tiene una transmitancia luminosa deal menos 65 % a un espesor deaproximadanete 3,91 mm (0,154 pulgada) y un color de una longitud de onda dominante de 485 a 492 nanometros y una pureza de excitacion de 3 a 18por ciento.
