Abstract
Un inserto cortante tiene una superficie superior de incidencia, superficies laterales periféricas, una base y un eje cental con simetría derotacion; la interseccion de la superficie superior de incidencia y las superficieslateral es periféricas forman, como mínimo un filo. Las superficieslaterales periféricas del inserto cortante constan de una primera superficie lateral delimitada, en parte, por el filo y, en parte, por un límite inferior,la primera parte de lasuperfici e lateral teniendo un ángulo primario positivo de rebajo; y una segunda parte de la superficie lateral que se extiende desdeel límite inferior hacia la base y la segunda parte de la superficie lateral tiene un ángulo de despeje nomayor que alred edor de cero. Típicamente, elángulo positivo de rebajo es menor que alrededor de 30* y, de preferencia, está entre alrededor de 4* y alrededor de 20*: como opcion, las superficieslaterales periféricas pueden constar, además, deuna tercera parte de la superficie periférica, que se extiende desde la adyacencia de la segundaparte de la superficie lateral hacia la base y esa tercera parte de la superficie lateral tiene un segundo ángulo positivo de rebajo.
