Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a cuerpos absorbentes estratificados para la absorción de agua y líquidos acuosos consistentes en al menos una capa deespuma de polímero hidrosoluble así como polímeros superabsorbentes en forma de partículas, que sobre, entre o por debajo de la capa de polímero espumadocontienen el superabsorbente en una disposición ponderal y/o localmente predeterminada y fijada, en una relación ponderal de espuma de polímerosuperabsorbente de 1:500 a 50:1. La espuma de polímero puede contener cargas, pigmentos y/o fibras sintéticas. Los cuerpos estratificados presentan mayorcapacidad de absorción con relación a agua y líquidos acuosos, particularmente bajo carga. Se los prepara distribuyendo la espuma en formasuperficial olaminar y aplicando el superabsorbente en la relación ponderal predeterminada, eventualmente con utilización de un estarcido, y fijándolo por un tratamientotérmico. Estos cuerpos estratificados se aplican en artículos higiénicos, comocomponentes en suelos naturales o artificiales, como material aislante paracanos y conductos, particularmente cables y en construcciones civiles, como componentes absorbentes y almacenadores de líquidos en materiales de embalaje,así como en partes de prendas de vestir.
