Abstract

Un receptor y método para uso en el sistema de posicionamiento global (GPS) incluye una terminal de senales de llegada para recibir una senal del sistemade posicionamiento global de llegada con un codigo PRN de llegada desde una fuente desenales del sistema de posicionamiento global. Se configura ungenerador de codigo PRN local para generar un codigo PRN local. Se acopla una discriminadora a la terminal de senales de llegada y al generador decodigo PRN local y se configurapara compar ar la senal de llegada y el codigo PRN local y para generar una senal discriminadora que contiene una porcionpositiva y una porcion negativa. Se acopla una procesadora a la discriminadora y se configura para recibir la senaldiscriminadora a fin d e procesarla paradeterminar un codigo de bits y para detrminar una distancia desde la fuente de senales del sistema de posicionamiento global sobre la base del codigo de bits.En una realizacion, la discriminadora incluye unmodo de adquisicion configurado para adquirir el codigo PRN de llegada, donde la discriminadoratiene un primer ancho de puesto de acceso y un modo de rastreo configurado para rastrear el codigo PRN, donde la discriminadora tiene un segundo anchodepuesto de acceso menor que el primer ancho de puesto de acceso. Las ventajas incluyen el rechazo mejorado de las senales multivias.
