Abstract

Un traductor y método para el intercambio de información relativa a una unidad inalámbrica , particularmente información de débito, entre una redinalámbrica visitada y una red inalámbrica local con respecto a una unidad inalámbrica queopera en la red visitada, donde el traductor incluye unreceptor para recibir datos relativos a la unidad provenientes de la red visitada, una aplicación de traducción para traducir y/o formatear los datosen un mensaje de comunicacionesinter-red es tándar, y un transmisor para transmitir el mensaje estándar a la red local. El traductor puede recibirdatos en una plataforma de débito de la red visitada. El traductor puede dar a los datos el formato de un mensaje estándar,preferentement e un mansajeIS-41. Este mensaje estándar puede ser recibido por un traductor en la red local. El traductor local puede extraer los datos del mensaje estándar,traducir los datos y proporcionar los datos a la plataforma de débitode la red loc al. Cuando la plataforma de débito local determina la información deautorización con respecto a la unidad, el traductor local puede traducir y formatear la información de autorización en un mensaje de respuestadecomunicaciones inter-red estánda r, preferentemente, un mensaje de respuesta estándar a la red visitada, donde el traductor visitado puede recibir elmensaje de respuesta, extraer la información de autorización, traducir la información yluego proporcionar la información de autorización a laplataforma de débito visitada.
