Abstract

Un proceso para la producción de al menos un compuesto C4 seleccionado de butano-1,4-diol, gamma-butirolactona y tetrahidrofurano que incluye la etapa dehidrogenar en fase de vapor un maleato de di-(alquilo C1-C4) en presencia de uncatalizad or particulado de hidrogenación de éster, comprendiendo elproceso al menos las etapas: disolver, por medio de un proceso de contacto, anhidrido maleico en estado de vapor en un solvente orgánico de alto puntode ebullición; esterificarel anhidrid o maleico de la solución con un alcano C1-C4, para obtener una solución de maleato de di-(alquilo C1-C4) en elsolvente orgánico de alto punto de ebullición; separar el maleato de di- (alquilo C1-C4) del solvente orgánico pordestilación por arrastre conhidrógeno, para formar una corriente de vapor que contiene maleato de di- (alquilo C1-C4) e hidrógeno; someter la corriente a hidrogenación catalítica,en presencia de un catalizador de hidrogenación heterogénea deéster, para obtener el compuesto C4 deseado.
