Abstract
Un procedimiento para la producción por fermentación de la lipestatina, el cual comprende: a)cultivo aeróbico de un microorganismo del orden de losactinomicetos, el cual produce lipestatina, en un medio de cultivo acuoso substancialmenteexent o de grasas y aceites, y que contiene fuentes adecuadasde carbón y nitrógeno y sales inorgánicas, hasta que la fase de crecimiento inicial termina substancialmente y con ello se ha producido la suficiente masade células; b) adición alcaldo, de á cido linoleico, de preferencia junto con ácido caprílico [en donde parte o la totalidad del ácido linoleico y/odel ácido caprílico pueden substituirse por el (los) correspondiente(s) éster(es) y/o sal(es)], y N-formil-L-leucina o de pre ferencia L-leucina,estabilizándose el ácido linoleico o su(s) éster(es) o sal(es) mediante un antioxidante. La lipestatina puede separarse del caldo e hidrogenarse atetrahidrolipestatina.
