Abstract
Retinoides de fórmula general (I), en donde X es oxo o un grupo OR1 en la posición 4 o 5; R1 es hidrógeno, alquilo o acilo; y R2 es hidrógeno o alquilo;los enlaces punteados son opcionales y un enlace doble 3,4 puede solamente estar presentec uando X está en la posición 5; así como las salesfarmacéuticamente aceptables de los ácidos carboxílicos de fórmula (I). Dichos compuestos pueden emplearse para la terapia y profilaxis de trastornosdermatológicos que van acompanados de lesionesepit eliales, por ejemplo el acné y la psoriasis, así como lesiones epiteliales malignas y premalignas,tumores y cambios precancerosos de la membrana de las mucosas de la boca, lengua, laringe, esófago, vejiga, cervix y colon. Unprocedimiento depreparación que comprende la reacción de un compuesto de fórmula general (II), en donde A es fenilo o fenil sustituido e Y(-) es un anión; X y losenlaces punteados tienen el significado antes senalado, con la 5-hidroxi-4-metil-5H-furan- 2-ona en presencia de una base, isomerizar los compuestospresentes entre los productos de reacción (siendo que a ellos los dobles enlaces -C=C- formados en la reacción tienen la configuración CIS) a losrespectivos isómerosTRANS.
