Abstract

Se describen látex modificados que tienen una velocidad de secado perfeccionada, que comprenden un polímero que tiene una o más cadenaslaterales pendientes, dicha cadena lateral comprendiendo el producto de la reacción entre un grupo mono o polifuncional capaz de reaccionar con unaunidad hidroxilo o ácido, y dichas unidades presentes en el polímero precursor. Dichos látex modificados son composiciones de un envase estables con elalmacenamiento, útiles solas o en combinación en aplicaciones de revestido, o como adhesivos, agentes para aprestos, compuestos, impregnantes, coladas,calafates y aglutinantes no forjados. También se revela un método para proporcionar un revestimiento protector entrecruzado en un substrato,quecomprende los pasos de: aplicar un revestimiento de la composición al substrato; y dejar que la composición cure a temperatura ambiente o más, oaplicar radiación a la composición para efectuar el curado.
