Abstract
Un ensamble de horquilla de suspensión, para una rueda orientable de un vehículo, particularmente, bicicletas, que comprende un tubo externo montadoen, y extendido a través del tubo principal o que puede ser montado, a través de unas ménsulas,al tubo de dirección del cuadro de la bicicleta y un tubointerno que se extiende telescópicamente dentro del tubo externo. Un dispositivo de amortiguación de golpes, preferentemente en forma de cartucho,se provee dentro de los tubos. Lasu perficie interna del tubo externo y la superficie externa del tubo interno, poseen una pluralidad de secciones planaslongitudinales opuestas, axialmente dispuestas. Una pluralidad de cojinetes de agujas se encuentran dispuestos entre lostubos sobre estas secciones planas,que permite que los dos tubos se extiendan telescópicamente y en forma libre, hacia adentro y hacia afuera, uno con respecto al otro, sin fricción estáticasignificativa y también para mantener la rigideztorsional entre el tubo externo y el tubo interno. Los cojinetes de agujas soportan de este modo lascargas radiales, y mantienen la relación en línea de los tubos externo e interno para las fuerzas rotacionales, a la vez que permitenque los dos tubos se extiendan telescópicamente en forma libre. Además, una paleta frontal rígida está asegurada al tubo interno para que sostenga la rueda delantera delvehículo y para proporcionar una flexión y rigidez torsional.
