Abstract

Un método para la detección de un material biológico en una muestra. El método incluye los pasos de licuar la muestra (si ello fuera necesario) y de proceder a verter dicha muestra licuada en la plaqueta de incubación . La plaqueta de incubaciónmencionada tiene una superficie que, en términos generales, esplana y horizontal, y dicha superficie se divide en una pluralidad de, por lo menos , 20(veinte) cavidades subyacentes bajo nivel. Cada una de dichascavidades se adapta para retener unaalícuota de líquido, y se dimensiona, se disena y se conforma con un material que sea adecuado, de forma tal que procedaa retener dicha alícuota dentro de la cavidad por medio de la fuerza que ejerce la tensión superficial del líquido. Cualquierex ceso de líquido de la muestralicuada se vierte desde la superficie de la plaqueta. El método, entonces implica la incubación de la plaqueta de incubación hasta que se determine odetecte la presencia o la ausencia del material biológico.
