Abstract

Diguanidinas de ácidos bencenodicarboxílicos de la fórmula (I), en donde R(1) a R(5) tienen los significados indicados en las reivindicaciones, sonvaliosos medicamentos antiarrítmicos con un componente cardioprotector, también para la prevención de lesiones inducidas por isquemia en particular en eldesencadenamiento de arritmias del corazón inducidas por isquemia. Como consecuencia de la inhibición del mecanismo celular de intercambio de Na+/H+,se utilizan para el tratamiento de lesiones agudas o crónicas desencadenadas por isquemia. Además de ello, se distinguen por un fuerte efecto inhibidorsobre las proliferaciones de células. Son adecuados para evitar la génesis de la hipertensión sanguínea. Asimismo, se describe el procedimiento para preparardichos derivados, su empleo como medicamentos o agente de diagnóstico así como medicamento que los contiene.
