Abstract

Fremgangsmåte og anordning for å omforme en sekvens med m-bit informasjonsord (1) til et modulert signal (7). For hvert mottatt informasjonsord fra sekvensen leveres n-bit kodeord (4). Det leverte kodeordet (4) danner det modulerte signalet (7). Når et av kodeordene (4) som tildeles informasjonsordet (1) skal omformes, velges dette kodeordet fra et sett med kodeord som avhenger av en kodetilstand som er relatert en digital sum-verdi ved slutten av det modulerte signalet som korresponderer med det leverte kodeord (4). Ved i det minste en av digital sum-verdiene blir en første (S2, S4, S6, S8, S10, S12) eller en andre (S3, S5, S7, S9, Sil, S13) kodetilstanden til et par av kodetilstandene av en første type bestemt. Hvilke av de to kodetilstandene til paret bestemmes avhenger av informasjonsord (1) som korresponderer med tidligere leverte kodeord (4). Settene V2/V3; V4/V5; V6W7; V8/V9; V10/V11; V12/V13) til kodeordene som tilhører par av kodetilstander av første type inneholder ikke noe kodeord i det hele tatt som er felles. Ved denne kodemetoden vil antall etter hverandre følgende bit-celler i det modulerte signal med den samme digitale verdi ikke overskrider 7. Spesifikke synkroord er dessuten nødvendig for å bli innføyd mellom blokker av kodeord.
