Fremgangsmåte og anordning for hurtig videreleding av en alarm- hhv. en nodropsmelding via et modem. Allerede tilstedeværende tilkobling, hhv. forbindelsebaner anvendes for å gi alarmmelding hhv. nødanrop prioritet foran bestående forbindelse og på en hurtig og sikker måte. Et modem kobler seg inn i en bestående forbindelse vecd hjelp av sløyfestrømregistrering. Modemet frakobler bestående forbindelse ved sløyfeavbrudd og opptar deretter linjen og bygger opp en forbindelse for avsendelse av et alarm- hhv. nødanropsmelding.
