Abstract

Sambandsoppkoplings- eller telemetri- system som i tillegg til vanlig tjeneste, dvs. talesamband, fax, dataoverføring etc. . gir sikkert toveis samband mellom et sel- skap eller et foretak og spesialabonnent- utstyr CPE for tale og/eller data. Systemet benytter en telemetrigrensesnitt- enhet TIU hos brukeren. En sentral enhet COSU som er koplet til et omkoplingssystem via en hjelpef jernlinje UTT brukes som et grensesnitt mellom selskapet eller fore- taket og ett eller flere sambandsomkop- lingssystemer. COSI gir detaljerte anrops- instruksjoner og data som fastlegger den tjeneste som skal ytes av systemet. De detaljerte instruksjoner tjener til å fastlegge kilde og karakter av de signaler som skal brukes for å aktivere TIU, gi underadresser for CPE som håndteres av en TIU, utføre linjeovervåking, og finne til- latt overvåkingstilstand for en brukt linje ved tidspunktet for forbindelse med en TIU, kringkasting av sekvenser eller meldinger etc.
