Det er beskrevet en fremgangsmåte for opparbeidelse av oppslutningsrester fra titandioksydproduksjonen ved sulfatfremgangsmåten, hvorved ilmenltt og/eller slagg oppsluttes med svovelsyre og etter opparbeidelsen av den oppsluttede blandingen dannes som rest et faststoff med tltandloksydlnnhold på 20 til 60 *, på basis av faststoffInnholdet.
