Abstract
Oppfinnelsen vedrører en fremgangsmåte for å separere trioksan fra en blanding inneholdende formaldehyd, trioksan og vann. Ifølge denne fremgangsmåte destilleres blandingen (1) i et første destillasjonstrinn (7) ved et trykk mellom 0,1 og 2 bar for å oppnå en strøm (8) inneholdende formaldehyd og en strøm (9) inneholdende overveiende trioksan, i tillegg til vann og formaldehyd; strømmen (9) blandes med en resirkulasjonsstrøm (19) inneholdende overveiende trioksan, i tillegg til vann og formaldehyd for å danne en strøm (10) inneholdende overveiende trioksan, i tillegg til vann og formaldehyd; strømmen (10) destilleres så i et andre destillasjonstrinn (14) ved et trykk på mellom 0,2 og 10 bar, eventuelt etter separasjon av lettkokende destillasjonskomponenter fra strømmen (9) eller (10) i et ytterligere destillasjonstrinn (1l). Trykket i det andre destillasjonstrinn (14) er minst 0,1 bar høyere enn trykket i det første destillasjonstrinn (7). Den nevnte destillasjon frembringer en strøm (1 5) bestående av trioksan og en strøm (1 6) inneholdende overveiende trioksan, i tillegg til vann og formaldehyd. Strømmen (1 6) destilleres så i et tredje destillasjonstrinn (17) ved et trykk på mellom 0,1 og 4 bar, for å oppnå en strøm (1 8) inneholdende overveiende vann, i tillegg til formaldehyd og resirkulasjonsstrømmen (19) inneholdende overveiende trioksan, i tillegg til vann og formaldehyd. Den resulterende strøm (18) destilleres eventuelt i et fjerde destillasjonstrinn (20) til å gi en strøm (21) inneholdende overveiende vann og en strøm (22) inneholdende overveiende formaldehyd.
