Elektrisk drivsystem for store effekter, f.eks. for effekter over 500 kW, med høy pålitelighet og levetid, spesielt for et sjøgående skip, hvorved drivsystemet omfatter en permanentmagnetdrevet, med i det minste en rotasjonsenergiforbruker, spesielt en skipspropell, samvirkende elektromotor og i det minste en strømretter for energiforsyning av elektromotoren og også en styrings-, regulerings- og overvåkingsanordning '¿ for systemet, hvor/ed elektromotoren er utformet for langtids pålitelig arbeid, og spesielt beskyttet mot en fullstendig eller delvis demagnetisering, hvorved dette oppnås ved supplerende konstruktive og driftstekniske, f.eks. bryter- og reguleringstekniske tiltak med hensyn på motoren og strømretteren.
