Abstract

En lekter (14) som oppbevarer flytende hydrokarbon (olje) danner et produksjonsanlegg (12) og losser det kanskje en gang i måneden til en shuttletanker (840), som er konstruert for ubetjent operasjon unntatt under lossing en gang per måned. Lekteren har en permanent ikke-justerbart ballast (53, 54, 55) og har et solcelle drevet system for kommunisering med et sentralt senter for vanlig betjening/operasjon og nødstopp. Lekteren unngår et "hotellsystem" for et permanent mannskap (opptil 50 mennesker) ved å unngå sjøvannballasteringstanker, ballasteringspumper og lignende systemer. Det eneste personbetjente utstyret er en maskingeneratorsett (142) og pumper (44) som skal betjenes kun under lossing for kanskje tre dager hver måned. Lekteren er ikke maskindrevet unntatt ved solenergi eller batterier, og er ubetjent unntatt under lossing, så kun midlertidig mannskapskvartær er anskaffet. Lekteren har et tankarrangement (57) med rader av tanker som er forbundet i serier slik at olje kan bli losset og lastet fra den fremste tanken i hver rad. Lekteren er ballastert slik at tankenes bunnvegger (130) strekker seg ut med en noe nedover/forover helning slik at den siste mengde av oppbevart olje kan strømme nedover til tanken lengst frem for lossing til en shuttletanker.
