Abstract

The mopping device comprises a handle (1), a bearing plate (2) and a mopping element (3) of flexible design which is fixed to the underside of the bearing plate (2), the bearing plate (2) and the handle (1) being connected by a universal joint (8), and the bearing plate (2) consisting of a central piece (4) and two side pieces (5) which can be swivelled about swivel joints (6) against the underside of the central piece (4) by means of a swivel device (5). The swivel device (5) comprises a traction apparatus (7) which is guided through the universal joint (8) and past the underside of the swivel joints (6) to the side pieces (5) and is fixed to the latter.
