Oppfinnelsen går ut på en anordning The invention concerns a device
ved hydrauliske styremaskiner for dreining av skipsror. Maskinen er på i og for seg kjent måte anordnet med elektrisk drevet trykkpumpe, væskereservoar; regulerings-ventil for babord og styrbord, med spake for betjeningen og med rattaksel for even-tuell håndstyring. Roret beveges ved hjelp av to om rorstammen konsentrisk anord-nede ringformede sylindre med stempler, og det karakteristiske trekk ved styremaskinen er: by hydraulic steering machines for turning the ship's rudder. The machine is arranged in a manner known per se with an electrically driven pressure pump, liquid reservoir; control valve for port and starboard, with lever for operation and with steering shaft for possible manual steering. The rudder is moved by means of two ring-shaped cylinders with pistons arranged concentrically around the rudder stem, and the characteristic features of the steering machine are:

Anordningen er videre en stor fordel ved styring og bak-king i dårlig vær med høy sjø, da man hurtigere kan holde fartøyet på roret og derved unngår bråttsjøer som ellers ville ramme båten. Ved sløring unna i hardt vær da man stadig må dreie på rattet fra side til side for at båten ikke skal legge seg vekk, kan man med denne anordningen hurtigere avvikle farefulle situasjoner med slik sløring. 2. At de ringformede stempler har lett avrundede hjørner for at tetningsskoene skal' ha lettere for å presses til veggene og holde bedre tett. 3. At rorstammen er festet til en sty-ringsflens som dreier i en styring i stator-ens bunnflens og fungerer som lagring med god bæring og kan lettvint utskiftes om der vil bli silakk. Justering og utbedring er derfor lett å utføre. 4. At stemplene på begge sider av rorkultens ytre ende er festet til kulten med kulebolter m/fjær og tilpasset vertikale spor i kulten, slik at om roret blir slått opp av en eller annen skadende art, får maskinen ingen skade av dette i og med at kule-boltene sklir i spora og maskinen er frem-deles i funksjon. Boltene holder samtidig stemplene intakt med kulten. Anordningen med styremaskinen er skjematisk an-skueliggjort på vedheftede tegning, hvor fig. 1 viser statoren med de to ringformede stemplene og rorkulten sett ovenfra (med topplokket tenkt fjernet). The oil then goes to both the innermost and the outermost piston and thus achieves the change so that you steer just as easily with the steering wheel even with full pressure on the rudder. This device with two forces provides many technical and practical advantages for both course steering and maneuvering in that the rudder swings twice as fast in the first stage and you achieve a faster reaction to the boat with the steering wheel. The device is also a great advantage when steering and reversing in bad weather with high seas, as more quickly can keep the vessel on the rudder and thereby avoid rough seas that would otherwise hit the boat. When blurring away in severe weather, when you have to constantly turn the steering wheel from side to side so that the boat does not drift away, this device can be used to quickly resolve dangerous situations with such blurring. 2. That the ring-shaped pistons have slightly rounded corners so that the sealing shoes can be more easily pressed against the walls and hold better. 3. That the rudder stem is attached to a guide flange that turns in a guide in the stator's bottom flange and acts as a bearing with good bearing and can be easily replaced if there will be silage. Adjustment and improvement are therefore easy to carry out. 4. That the pistons on both sides of the tiller's outer end are attached to the tiller with ball bolts w/springs and adapted to vertical grooves in the tiller, so that if the rudder is knocked open by some damaging means, the machine is not damaged by this and that the ball bolts slip in their tracks and the machine is still in operation. The bolts also keep the pistons intact with the cult. The device with the steering machine is shown schematically in the attached drawing, where fig. 1 shows the stator with the two annular pistons and the tiller seen from above (with the cylinder head removed).
